Being Nice Is Over-Rated

yes my fellow man > i have come to this drastic conclusion just today > I attempted and strived as hard as I could to be nice and to say positive things but it seems that I'm just not MEANT to be that way... why? well let me give you a couple of reasons.

1: people set themselves up. they never think about how stupid something will make them look or how open it will leave them to critisism > today an associate of mine said "Let me whip it out" > that alone was an insinuation enough for someone to prod at him > and if anyone were to do that who's fault would it be? SURELY it would be the person who made the dumb comment's fault : but no > in all cases it is the person who cracks a witty joke or brings to light the fact that whatever was said was funny > and then the person's feelings are hurt > but do they say that? Oh god of course not! Then that would mean that everyone is responsible for paying attention to what they say and monitoring themselves so that they cant SPOUT BILE OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS TO SOUND LIKE MORONS > it is obviously the person who made the witty joke > as we all know that wit is a sign of intelligence > and intelligence means they think > and if they think they obviously dont like what's popular > and if they dont like whats popular than they arent cool > and if they aren't cool then they suck! FUCK UNCOOL PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2: being nice to people is easily mis-understood > no matter how hard I try to honestly and/or sincerely be nice or give a compliment it will always > given time > backfire on me > it doesn't matter > it's fate > I AM NOT NICE. I AM NOT MEANT TO BE NICE. I AM TRYING AS HARD AS I FUCKING CAN AND ALL I AM GETTING IS AGGRIVATED, EMOTIONALLY HURT, AND CRAZY IN THE HEAD. I wish i were nice, really : then people would like me > but you know ... maybe it's for the best > because I don't dig this masochistic "stick my neck out just to make someone feel good about themselves only to have them turn around and beat me with a god-damn baseball bat because they misunderstand one stupid word I might say" mentality of being nice to people.
