I associate with James because of two things
1.) From time to time James says or does something which I find enjoyable/enlightening/interesting/funny, James tends to do these things far more frequently than does anyone else.
2.) It is far more easy to follow someone else around school {ect..} than to decide where you are going to go when you have no particular reason to be anywhere at all
Logically I should then follow James around school {ect..} because of observation thing 1.
