Movie Making Hilarity

Well, nobody want's to come visit me...

actually, everybody is busy right now, which i can understand. I myself was busy a bit ago...but now i'm not.

Today, i am mostly running around taking care of things, and trying to print out stuff to get a job.

Getting a job...oh, that is going to be fun.

The thing is that i need money. I hate money...i seriously do. However, to go to college, one needs money. I hate that. Much like mike pointed out...that just makes college accessible to the wealthy...which kind of defeats the idea that even the poorest kid in the country can succeed if he gets an education...because how the hell can he get an education if he is poor?

There are other reasons why the idea that education=success and the "american dream" are flawed...but i really don't feel like getting into those right now.

On a different note, i was trying to get some pictures to post from various previous things that i had videotaped or whatnot...but the computer was acting all screwy...now i don't even have the video that we made, and i have to remake it...well...sort of. There is an mpeg version of it floating around in the computer lab, but i don't like the quality much. DiVX might be a better choice after all...or maybe MPEG'ing it on a 2X speed CDrom...or higher. When you get up in speeds though, they may not play well on DVD players...but they should play rather smoothly on computers...

then again, it takes more memory, and you reach a point where divx would be better.

{Why do i suddenly sound like a computer intellegent person, when in truth i know very little? Very very little.}

Still, i am determined to get some pictures, and to get some of the other stuff done, and i will today or sometime next week. The computer lab is closing in like five minutes though...and hopefully Odegaard computer lab will be open, otherwise i definitly won't be able to.

I am tempted to go out and videotape the T.A. strike that some of you probably don't even know about...

actually, many of you don't know about...or more to the point, don't care.

i don't blame you...
if i wasn't affected by it, would i really care?

well, given that its me...and i am strange in that sense...i probably would.

which beckons the question, "Why would you care jEFF?"

I have absolutely no idea why i would. Maybe i find it facinating to consider issues that don't have anything to do with me...

then again, it could be that i find it satisfying to think about something that i am not really affected by, so as to feel like i am slightly affected by it, so that in the end, i feel IN THE LOOP

Think about the news for a second. Why oh why do we pay so much attention to things like fires in FLorida? {for a moment, set aside the idea that damage to the environment in one part of the world affects the total global environment.}

Unless we have relatives there, why do we pay attention...

and yet many people do...

and many people do talk about it.

Now, there are arguments which i could come up with for why we should...but i won't go into those. I'm sure some of them are easy enough to come by...

i think i figured out part of my lot in life.

I like playing devil's advocate.

I figured that out yesterday...or was it the day before.

Well, gotta go for now...lab's closing.
