Yes, even as much of a retard as Bush is, I doubt he'll take this lightly. He won't have a choice. If he has any hope of a second go-round in office, it will depend on how well he handles this.

This country, and much of the world, will support slightly more extreme actions on our part then they would have before. No one in their right mind will speak out against whatever we do in retribution, short of starting a full-on nuclear war. Not Russia. Not China. Something tells me every Iraq will keep their collective mouth shut, in fear that we decide they had a part in it and reduce them to a parking lot. This big, even the Taliban won't have the nuts to stand against us. They’ve already come out and said they "feel our pain"

So I guess the media may have it right this time, things won’t ever be quite the same again. Some have called this the darkest day is US history. I don’t know if we should go that far, but it’s by far the darkest in recent history. And it’s probably not over yet, either. But at least they won’t catch us with our pants down again.

Bah. I’m rambling again.
Or was I ranting?

Later.
