Alright, I am feeling the heat. My post earlier about high school drop-outs and lack of an education was easily misinterpretted. By no means would I ever say that someone with a high school diploma is necessarily educated. By that I mean, education comes from what the individual puts into learning. In most cases, I believe high school only really trains you to behave in a Pavlovian manner to ringing bells and to do the least amount of work for a passing grade. Some of the smartest people I know never finished high school. I am married to a high school drop-out. However, we live in a society where a diploma means more than it should. It is a symbol of "commitment." It says, "Yes, I will put up with any amount of bullshit for at least three years." Employers like to know that.

So, I will try again. not mud, cave into the pressure that the man is putting on you to conform with your education so you can get a good job and a nice car and have all the material possessions that you want.

I feel badly that you are surrounded by ignorami at your present job. But it will probably not change no matter where you go. It is difficult to find a job where most of the people are like you. I quit my college job at Pizza Hut because they liked to beat up "fags" and tell me about it. When I got a job at Round Table Pizza, I met one of the smartest and most interesting people I have ever met. You will find interesting, stupid, intelligent, facist, etc. people everywhere. But if you train for a profession for which you hold esteem you can find people with more in common with you.

Remember though, we learn the most about ourselves from the discontent we experience in our lives.
