Bethel Public Schools: Conducting inadvertent research in communicable disease theory since 1949.
The good thing is; a few more years of this job, I'll have an immune system equal to that of, say, your average lump of granite. I hate being sick.

DEV: A point we've been trying to make on here for some time: If you've got a point to illustrate, post a picture.

Ok, so that was probably inappropriate, and I now apologize. I guess.

Are we all aware that Oct. 14 is a Sunday? And are we still planning on paintballing that day?

Well, nothing much to talk about, other than the fact that I spent most of the day today accomplishing nothing. Which is exactly what we (I) told Patti (the boss) would happen. We accepted these donated computers (about 70 of them) from GSA (Gov't Surplus Agency), and they are crap. Mostly P-133s, crappy 15 inch monitors, half of them didn't even have hard drives, just floppies (3.5" and 5.25") and CDs. So we (I) warned her that this crap was useless, and it was a waste of our time to bother getting it. She argued "it's better for a classroom than no computer at all." Which, while true, doesn't mean much. Well, more than half of it is completely useless, and is being surplused. Someone came up with the idea that we wanted the CD-ROMs and hard drives out of it prior to the surplus sale. We thought all of it had to be ready to go before the end of the day tomorrow. We found out around noon today that it had to be done by tomorrow. Long story short, they paid me alone $106.75 for the half day and overtime that was spent dealing with this. There were four other techs involved, all of whom make $1.50 or so an hour more than me.
But the computers are free!!!

In closing-
God bless Jose Cuervo.
God bless a nice warm bed.
I think I'll go be blessed right now.

Later.
